Victoria Burgess, Ph.D., CISSN
CEO Tactical Athlete Nutrition +Performance
Victoria Burgess earned her Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago and is a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN), under the leadership of nationally acclaimed professor and nutritional industry leader, Dr. Jose Antonio. She, additionally, is an Adjunct Professor in the Human Performance and Nutrition department at Concordia University and sits on the Advisory Board for the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Prior to her career in performance and nutrition, she was a career Firefighter/Paramedic for 16 years in south Florida.
She is also a water sports professional, holds a Guinness World Record in standup paddleboarding, and is a high performance athletic coach and sports nutritionist among amateur, semi and professional athletes. She is the head coach for the Broward County Special Olympics SUP team and serves as an inspiration to female athletes.
Her lifetime experience as an athlete and her education in human performance and nutrition has allowed for a deeper connection to her clients and their specific needs in nutrition, performance and reaching their goals.
Advisory Board
Jose Antonio earned his PhD and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor and the Program Director of Exercise and Sport Science at Nova Southeastern University (Florida).
He is the co-founder and CEO of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) as well as co-founder of the Society for NeuroSports.
Jaime Tartar, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at NSU's College of Psychology. Dr. Tartar completed Postdoctoral Training at Harvard Medical School, where she studied the neurobiology of sleep and earned a certificate in Sleep Medicine from the Division of Sleep Medicine. She is widely published in many areas of neuroscience with topics ranging from basic cell physiology to clinical neurological impairments. Her research interests are focused on the mechanisms and consequences of acute and chronic stress in humans and the impact of normal sleep and sleep deprivation on emotion processing and physiological functioning. Dr. Jaime Tartar is CEO of The Society for NeuroSports.
Julius Thomas is a former 2 sport Collegiate athlete and 7 year NFL veteran. Throughout his career he has received numerous awards, including being a 2x pro bowler.
He is now a PsyD candidate at Nova Southeastern University studying stress and positive psychology. He is diligently committed to improving well-being and health, in high stress populations.
In addition, Julius is an Advisory Board member for The Society for NeuroSports
Frank Campanaro studied culinary arts, food science and nutrition at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and plant based nutrition at Cornell University. He served as President Ford's banquet chef.
He then joined the US Army and served on and off the battlefield in the Army Special Operations. After the military service, he became a government contractor and is the CEO and founder of a global corporation TrillaMed, which serves 5000 federal government medical and related facilities.
He is a professional climber, and has summited many global peaks including Mt. Everest.
